Mental Health Hospital Hornsby NSW

The Mental Health Unit Project is a $26 million capital project, bringing together child, adolescent and adult mental health services and facilities in one location. It is designed to meet future service demands and requirements of surrounding communities.

The new facility includes:

  • a 35 bed acute adult ward to replace the existing Lindsay Madew facility
  • a 12 bed child and adolescent ward
  • child and adolescent mental health community services
  • therapy rooms, family meeting areas, gym facility, courtyards
  • onsite parking for 155 cars

As part of the construction an existing two story building will be demolished to make way for the new mental health facility. The building is a two story concrete structure with post tension suspended slabs and structural steel roof. The external works include a 155 space carpark and landscaping.
